<p>As our Disaster Recovery Manager, you&#8217;ll play a pivotal role in ensuring Cambridge University Press &amp; Assessment is fully prepared to respond to IT disasters, safeguarding our technology estate and minimising business impact when it matters most.</p>

<p><strong>About the role </strong></p>
<p>Reporting to the Head of ETO Service Delivery Management, you&#8217;ll be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, validation and ongoing improvement of IT Disaster Recovery (DR) across our complex and business‑critical technology environment.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll ensure the organisation is as prepared as practicable for disruptive events, working closely with senior IT leadership, infrastructure and platform teams, and third‑party suppliers. In the event of a major incident, you&#8217;ll provide expert guidance to enable a successful recovery that meets agreed recovery time and recovery point objectives, with minimal impact on business operations.</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Owning and maintaining the organisation&#8217;s Disaster Recovery Plan, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and reflects changes across the IT estate</li>
<li>Defining and maintaining DR standards and ensuring consistent application across services and suppliers</li>
<li>Identifying, documenting and supporting the mitigation of DR risks and single points of failure, working with risk owners to implement effective controls</li>
<li>Designing and delivering a comprehensive DR testing and validation programme covering people, processes, plans and technology</li>
<li>Coordinating DR exercises and tests, defining scope and success criteria, and producing post‑test reports and lessons learned</li>
<li>Maintaining the IT recovery checklist and associated documentation, including critical contact lists</li>
<li>Providing assurance over third‑party and outsourced DR capabilities through regular review and challenge</li>
<li>Aligning DR activity with wider Business Continuity (BC) policies and programmes</li>
</ul>
<p>This is a highly visible role with responsibility for helping protect around 150 critical IT services that support exams, assessment delivery and regulatory deadlines.</p>
<p>This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.</p>
<p><strong>About You </strong></p>
<p>You&#8217;ll bring strong experience across IT service, delivery or assurance environments, along with the credibility and confidence to work with senior stakeholders in high‑impact situations.</p>
<p><strong>Essential experience and skills:</strong></p>

<li>Relevant experience in one or more IT career paths such as:
<ul>
<li>Project Management</li>
<li>Infrastructure Management</li>
<li>IT Audit or Assurance</li>
<li>PMO development and management</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences</li>
<li>Strong planning, coordination and delivery skills across technical and business teams</li>
<li>Proven stakeholder management skills, including working with third‑party suppliers</li>
<li>Confidence managing expectations and influencing senior leaders</li>
<li>High standards of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and assurance activity</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience specifically in Disaster Recovery management</li>
<li>Understanding of fault‑tolerant or mission‑critical application and infrastructure design</li>

<p>The Information and Digital Directorate is responsible for delivering our ambition to make the FCDO the world’s most technologically integrated and innovative foreign ministry. <p><strong>Main Purpose of the Role</strong></p>
<p>The IT Service Lead will own the end-to-end user experience and provide expert technical support for SeeByte, ensuring the smooth operation of IT service delivery within the organisation. This role involves leading IT service delivery, collaborating closely with colleagues, daily troubleshooting, system maintenance, asset management, and requires a candidate who can quickly integrate with the team and provide excellent support.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Role</strong></p>
<p>Run the Service Desk: you will be responsible for the health of the service queue, triaging issues, setting and upholding SLAs, following up on issues and managing the backlog. You will collate and report metrics to the IT Manager.</p>
<p>Technical Support &amp; Troubleshooting: you will act as a first point of contact for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues via in-person, email, chat and phone support.</p>
<p>Onboarding and Offboarding: you will assist with the IT aspects of onboarding and offboarding of new employees, ensuring they have the necessary equipment, access and induction training.</p>
<p>Hardware &amp; Software: you will Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and applications to defined security baselines. This includes supporting software like Microsoft Office 365, and hardware such as laptops, videoconferencing equipment and printers.</p>
<p>User Account &amp; Access Management<strong>:</strong> you will set up, manage, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems.</p>
<p>Asset Management<strong>:</strong> you will maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment and assist in the deployment of new hardware and software, working with vendors and suppliers to keep licensing in good order.</p>
<p>Maintaining Documentation: you will create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and a knowledge base for common issues.</p>

<p><strong>Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in a senior IT service delivery position and proficient working with an IT Service Management Platform.</li>
<li>A relevant IT qualification, such as ITIL 4, Microsoft Certifications (e.g. MD-102, MS-102) or Cisco CCNA.</li>
<li>Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical users.</li>
<li>Strong experience supporting and maintaining enterprise Windows desktop systems. Ubuntu LTS (22.04 &amp; 24.04) support experience would be advantageous.</li>
<li>Experienced with Microsoft 365 administration including Entra ID, Intune and Teams.</li>
<li>Comfortable with automation tools such as PowerShell and Ansible.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of IT security principles, data protection, change management, vulnerability and patch management.</li>

<p>The IT Project Manager will be key figure for the successful delivery of our transformation plans and it present a fantastic opportunity to deliver projects that will directly have a positive benefit for young people and those who support them.</p>
<p>The IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading on the project management of individual projects and all IT related projects. This will involve managing Salesforce development projects but will include other IT related projects.</p>
<p>The post-holder will be part of the IT department within Central Support Team, but they will also be working on strategic digital implementation projects across the organization. They will be joining a fast paced and busy environment, with plenty of autonomy in managing their own responsibilities but they will also work closely with others to deliver the project therefore a collaborative approach and clear communication skills will be needed to be successful.</p>
<p><strong>Location</strong></p>
<p>Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours, either at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH) or our Northern Hub (Huckletree, The Express Building, 9 Great Ancoats Street, Manchester M4 5AD).</p>

<p><strong>Location:  </strong>Repton and Repton Prep</p>
<p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Director of IT</p>
<p><strong>Contracted Hours:</strong> 40 hours per week, all year round.</p>
<p><strong>Salary in region of £35k per annum, dependent on experience</strong></p>
<p>This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent analytical skills and a passion for data management. Previous experience of data systems in a school setting is preferable.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimising the school&#8217;s data systems. Responsible for production, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of student and academic data, informing strategic decisions and statutory reporting.</p>
<p>In liaison with the SMT and Director of IT, they will provide assistance and support in strategic management of whole school ICT and provide efficient and effective organisation of the school’s assessment, reporting, recording and tracking systems. To ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of critical educational data, empowering our staff and students with the information they need to succeed.</p>
<p>This role will support our teams to maximise the opportunities that data and technology offer to further learning outcomes, and organisational efficiencies.</p>

<p>This is an exciting opportunity to lead the next phase of IT and digital development within this historic and world leading Schools Group.</p>
<p>With School-wide responsibility for IT, the role holder will be responsible for all aspects of IT systems including strategy, implementation, management, administration and review, ensuring that the facilities and services meet the evolving needs of the School. This post also has a key role in the development of digital learning, working with senior staff on horizon-scanning and implementation of new ways and approaches to learning.</p>
<p>The role holder will manage the IT team to enhance efficiency and meet evolving requirements, including overseeing cyber-security and compliance, ensuring reliable IT operations; and managing budgets and key stakeholder relationships.</p>
