<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p>As a Public Cloud Second Line Engineer, you’ll provide advanced, customer‑facing technical support across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 within a managed services environment. Acting as a key escalation point from 1st Line, you’ll take ownership of incidents and service requests end‑to‑end – from deep technical investigation through to resolution or structured escalation to 3rd Line engineering teams.</p>
<p>You’ll work hands‑on with cloud and productivity platforms, diagnose complex issues, apply permanent fixes where appropriate, and communicate clearly with customers throughout the incident lifecycle. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed SLAs and customer expectations.</p>
<p>This role will also include providing on‑site cover when required at a customer site in West Yorkshire, as well as participation in an on‑call rota, including night shifts.</p>
<h6>What you’ll be doing</h6>
<ul>
<li>Acting as a<strong> </strong>2nd Line escalation point for Azure and Microsoft 365 incidents and service requests</li>
<li>Owning incidents from investigation through to resolution, keeping customers informed throughout</li>
<li>Providing advanced troubleshooting across Microsoft Azure, including:
<ul>
<li>Virtual Machines</li>
<li>Azure Storage, Backup and Recovery</li>
<li>Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and alerting</li>
<li>Azure Active Directory and RBAC</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Supporting Microsoft 365 services, including:
<ul>
<li>Exchange Online (mail flow, mailbox issues, permissions and hybrid scenarios)</li>
<li>SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business</li>
<li>Microsoft Teams (calling, meetings, integrations and client issues)</li>
<li>Microsoft 365 security and compliance features (where applicable)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Escalating complex or high‑impact issues to 3rd Line teams with clear technical detail and evidence</li>
<li>Supporting planned changes, maintenance and service improvement activities</li>
<li>Creating and maintaining technical documentation, knowledge base articles and known error records</li>
<li>Working closely with Service Desk, Cloud Engineering and wider teams to deliver a consistent support experience</li>
<li>Providing on‑site support when required</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What will you bring?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>2–3 years’ experience supporting Microsoft technologies in a production environment</li>
<li>Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure</li>
<li>Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 workloads</li>
<li>Experience supporting hybrid environments (on‑premises integrated with Azure and M365)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of ITIL‑aligned support environments</li>
<li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving capability</li>
<li>Clear written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation</li>
<li>Ability to achieve and maintain NPPV3 with SC clearance</li>
</ul>

<li>Valid UK driving licence and access to a car</li>
<li>Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑900 and AZ‑104</li>

<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p>As an IT Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing application support to Trinity users on a range of digital systems both internally developed, and SaaS based.</p>
<p>Working with 3rd parties you will ensure all applications work optimally, interfaces between systems are robust, user issues can be resolved quickly and small value add changes can be coordinated and delivered.</p>
<p>You will also engage in reactive support for break fix incidents escalated from the service desk and completing service requests. You will also participate in projects which underpin the Trinity range of customer products and operating processes</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide application support for internally developed Trinity systems</li>
<li>Provide internal support for SaaS applications</li>
<li>Provide application support for legacy systems and websites</li>
<li>Work with 3rd party development teams to develop and support systems</li>
<li>Manage support for technical interfaces between systems to ensure constant uptime.</li>
<li>Continually work with the IT Projects team to grow as much knowledge of these applications as possible to be able to diagnose and resolve common issues.</li>
<li>Build knowledge of the intranet system to be able to support technical issues</li>
<li>Meet regularly with key user stakeholders, developing good relationships, to ensure IT service meets their needs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About you</strong></p>

<li>Experience of working with SDLC (software development life cycle)</li>
<li>Demonstration of technical problem diagnosis and troubleshooting</li>
<li>Experience with workflow management</li>

<p>We are seeking a skilled Applications Support and Development Officer (Geospatial) – to join our team and help us design, develop, and maintain our geospatial data infrastructure.</p>
<p><strong>As a key member of the Geospatial Team, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Help the council to exploit the value in our GIS data holdings.</li>
<li>Undertake significant projects which improve and combine data from back office and customer-facing systems.</li>
<li>Make sure our data, and data shared by others is of the highest quality, highly available, usable, and shareable by rigorous standard setting and quality controls.</li>
<li>Work with other members of the GIS team and the wider Council GIS community, to deliver geospatial analysis, support workflows in our corporate geospatial products and services, delivering continuous insight and value to our staff and residents</li>
<li>Utilise the best of modern GIS and data technology platforms, including ongoing investigation and research into emerging technology.</li>
<li>Support the Geospatial platforms of Walsall Council with skills associated with Software Development and Information Technology.</li>

<p>We lead and support the creation of business data, manage the GIS architecture to ensure we provide, clean, reliable and reusable GIS data formats.  These in turn can then be aggregated to combine and enhance data from a variety of systems, creating data sets to drive insights and opportunities to improve performance, aid operational services, CRM and service delivery.</p>

<p>First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join our ICT Team.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll be supporting the ICT team and the organisation with technical ICT escalations, providing efficient problem resolution, advice, and support to colleagues. You&#8217;ll be supporting and maintaining the ICT infrastructure, ICT Security and the ICT operations ensuring the ICT infrastructure is reliable secure and available.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will contribute to the identification of ICT Service improvements in line with the ICT Strategy and will lead on ICT projects to deliver continuous improvements.</p>
<p>You will be involved with ongoing and new projects, being responsible for the implementation and pre/post-project support across various technologies.</p>

<p><strong>This will be a site-based job at Harwich, with travel required to our other UK sites (Surrey and Cheshire).</strong></p>
<p>The main responsibilities are as follows:</p>
<p>Phone and Email Support: Answering requests from employees to diagnose and resolve their IT problems.</p>
<ul>
<li>Ticket Handling: Logging all incoming requests and problem reports in our ticketing system. Documenting all actions taken and solutions provided.</li>
<li>Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Analysing and resolving IT issues, including hardware, software and network problems. Assisting with the installation, configuration and updating of software.</li>
<li>User Training: Providing guidance and training to employees to prevent common issues and improve understanding of IT systems.</li>
<li>Collaboration with Other Teams: Working closely with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and ensure effective communication.</li>
<li>Documentation and Reporting: Updating knowledge databases and creating reports on common issues and solutions.</li>
<li>Infrastructure Support: Troubleshoot, support &amp; maintain servers and network switches.</li>
<li>Microsoft System Center Config Manager: Manage clients, software packages, updates and OS deployment task sequences.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualification/Skills/Experience</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Completed education or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.</li>
<li>Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11 &amp; Windows Server Operating Systems) and office software (e.g. Microsoft Office).</li>
<li>Experience with Cisco IOS Switches (not required but would be advantageous).</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, including Intune, Defender and Exchange.</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft Config Manager.</li>
<li>Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, VB and batch files.</li>
<li>Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.</li>
<li>Team player with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.</li>
<li>Willingness to engage in continuous learning and adapt to new technologies.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and meet defined deadlines.</li>
