Cloud DBA – Snowflake – FTC Full Time

Global Insurance organisation is hiring for a Cloud DBA for their London-based office. This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) and is paying £65K. They operate a hybrid working pattern in the office.

Responsibilities include:

– Performing routine database administration tasks (backups, restores, monitoring)
– Evaluating and monitoring the performance of the cloud data lake system
– Developing and maintaining automation scripts for routine database tasks
– Setting up of new users, SCIM provisioning
– Identifying and resolving database-related issues
– Collaborating with Data Engineers, Developers and Data Architects to design and implement scalable and efficient database solutions in the cloud
– Working closely with the Data Architect to manage the migration efforts to migrate my client’s on-prem DWG to the Cloud

Skills and Experience required:

– Insurance or Financial Services experience
– Snowflake is essential for this role
– Proven DBA skills within cloud-based environments
– Knowledge of Cloud database management systems
– SQL Server and Microsoft Stack
– Data Lake expertise
