The opportunity
As the Data Architect, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the data models that support our team’s work. At IAG Loyalty, we operate within a decentralised data architecture where each data team is self-sufficient yet adheres to common practices and standards. Our central data function provides core data models, while individual teams have the flexibility to ingest, model, and combine their own data with these core models to create unique data products, which can then be shared with other teams. We utilise a layered architecture (Bronze -> Silver -> Gold), with only Gold data assets being shared across the organization.
For the first 12-18 months, you’ll be deeply involved in hands-on data modeling and engineering, building the capabilities required to support the team’s success while ensuring consistency and accuracy across our decentralised data architecture.

What we need from you
The role has a blended base, between our Central London office and home. We trust you to make the right decision about the type of work that is best done in each location. We expect you’ll achieve a 50/50 split between the two and there may be times where you’ll want to visit our other locations to tell their stories, too (fully reimbursed).
