It is, first and foremost, the home of the Archbishop of Canterbury and his family, as well as home to a wider, diverse and thriving, residential community. It is also an office and the epicentre of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s ministry to the Church of England and the global Anglican Communion.
Introduction
Working closely with other senior colleagues, as Head of Digital (Archbishop of Canterbury) you will play a key role in supporting the Archbishop and Lambeth Palace’s engagement with people all over the UK and around the world. This is a wide-ranging role, shaping the stories we tell, deciding the best ways to reach and engage key audiences, evolving our approach to digital to reflect best practices and the latest developments, and contributing to overall communications strategy.
You will line manage a small team and ensure that Lambeth Palace utilises digital platforms and storytelling techniques to their maximum impact.
The working hours for this post are 35 per week.
This is a fixed term contract expected to last for 2 years.
You will be based at Lambeth Palace in unusual and pleasant surroundings however we are taking a flexible approach to work, with many colleagues opting for a hybrid approach to their working week, with a mixture of home and office-based working. Given the nature of the role, it involves some evening and weekend working. Further details will be discussed at interview.
