As the Head of Strategic Asset Management – Data, you will be the organisational lead ensuring best practice across strategic asset information approaches. You will play a key role to ensure systems and information are best in class and underpin well informed investment and divestment decisions. And also be the responsible to lead complete and reliable asset data sets, quality and timely reporting against various standards.

Description

The key responsibilities as the Head of Strategic Asset Management – Data are as follows:

• To lead on the 30-year forecasting and business planning that ensures homes meet the current and future standards
• To ensure we know our homes through a variety of data sets that are kept dynamic and updated
• This includes delivery of our home condition survey programme ensuring component age, condition and future replacement are recorded in the Asset Management database
• To ensure that the necessary information is available and analysed appropriately for all homes and other assets from various business activity
• Work with key stakeholders across the business to develop detailed data improvement programmes and monitor the delivery of these, reporting progress and performance to Director of Assets, Asset Data Forum and other internal and external partners
• Lead and develop the strategic priorities and plans for the ensuring excellent customer focus and clarity for all on direction and colleague contribution
• Lead by example; empower, inspire, support and develop your managers and teams in delivering excellent customer services, value for money and embracing diversity
• Be a role model and ambassador of the culture and expected behaviours, acting with openness, professionalism and integrity at all times

Profile

The successful Head of Strategic Asset Management – Data requires the following experience:

• Minimum five year’ experience at comparable level of service and responsibilities
• Expert in configuration of larger databases, analysing large data sets to provide clear and concise recommendations and conclusions
• High level understanding of social housing and/or operating within a regulated environment
• A comprehensive understanding of reporting requirements on housing organisations
• Strong experience of developing and maintaining integrated information systems
• Advanced IT skills, competent user in Microsoft suite & expert user Excel, Databases, reporting tools, Power BI
• A strategic thinker with a proven track record of creating and developing data management strategies
• Ability to manage change programmes, strong project and programme management skills
• Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; well-developed, ambassadorial, influencing, networking, promotional and negotiating skills
• Leads by example demonstrating excellent leadership skills to create a culture adopting the organisation’s values, to inspire, motivate and develop staff at all levels; building cohesive and motivated teams who are committed to the organisation’s vision and goals and willing to provide discretionary effort
• Ability to interrogate systems, write code and programmes
• Confident to lead, motivate and manage staff to achieve targets and provide a high standard of service whilst working under pressure
• Able to write clear and accurate reports which highlight areas for attention and which support compliance
