Infrastructure/Azure Project Engineer Full Time

I am currently recruiting for a leading Microsoft gold partner who are based in London. This role is hybrid and will require some travel to client sites around the South Eat & London. This Project Engineer role is a spring board into the consulting team.

About the role:

• As a Projects & Infrastructure Engineer, your role will involve on-site project work at client sites where you build client infrastructure, prepare software and hardware, and ensure installations are carried out to customer specifications.
• Some of the projects you will be involved in will include on-premise, public, private, and hybrid cloud-based installations, as well as Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations.
• You will scope projects and identify additional improvements, naturally upselling new technologies that may improve your customer’s infrastructure needs.
• You will effectively plan and organise your own workload, maintain and update configuration documents, and ensure all assignments are carried out methodically and with meticulous attention to detail.

General requirements:

• Similar experience as a Project Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or 3rd Line Support Engineer is essential
• Must be competent in working with multiple customers, such as within a Managed Service Provider
• Exceptional problem-solving, prioritisation, and multitasking skills
• Full driving license and willing to travel to customer sites (typically across the South of the UK) is essential

Technical requirements:

• Strong background in supporting and implementing on-premise, hybrid and Microsoft Cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure
• Experience in setting up and configuring Microsoft security features
• Strong knowledge and experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 10, Virtualisation technologies (ideally VMware), backup technologies (ideally Veeam), Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Wireless technologies, and Networking configurations and technologies (including VLAN and Layer-3)
• Relevant cloud-based Microsoft certifications or other relevant certifications would be advantageous
