Scala Developer – 9 months Contract (Extension Available) – London, UK – Hybrid – Inside IR35

We are currently seeking an experienced Scala Developer to join our client for a contract role based in London. If you have a strong background in Real Time data processing, RESTful microservices development, and related technologies, we encourage you to apply.

Scala Developer Requirements:

• Experience with Real Time data processing and RESTful microservices in Scala
• Proficiency in Scala (Type level stack, Kafka, Cassandra, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS)
• Good working knowledge of Akka HTTP and Akka Streams
• Experience with machine learning and its application in services
• Familiarity with Pair Programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Understanding of DevOps and GitOps principles

Scala Developer Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high performance systems using Scala and related technologies
• Contribute to the evolution of personalization services with machine learning integration
• Champion best practices such as Pair Programming and TDD for code development
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance existing services and develop new ones
• Foster an engineering culture focused on DevOps and GitOps principles

Details:

Role: Scala Developer

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 9 Months (Extension Available)

Rate: £500 – £600 per day (Inside IR35)
