Support Analyst, Application Support, Linux Systems Administration, FIX, Python, SQL, E-Trading, Banking/Financial

Candidate will ideally come from a Financial/Banking background and with some Linux/Unix Systems Administration and Financial Trading Application Support and ideally FIX Connectivity experience.

A challenging role providing 2nd/3rd Line Support/Systems Administration and Supporting numerous Financial Trading, Risk and Settlement Systems with preferred candidates having some Database/SQL and Scripting languages.

Required Skills:

• Financial/Trading Application Support experience including installation/configuration, upgrading and troubleshooting.
• Linux/Unix Ideally to Systems Administration Level with one of – Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky
• At least one Scripting Language – Python, Perl, SQL, Bash.
• Knowledge of Databases to DBA/Developer level including writing and troubleshooting SQl Code including performance issues – SQL Server/Oracle.
• FIX Connectivity – Client On-boarding, Support/Troubleshooting of FIX Logs/Connections.
• Proven use of GIT or similar
• Troubleshooting aptitude 2nd to none – someone who enjoys the technical challenge and finding resolutions to complex problems.

Other Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge or experience of Grafana
• Previous experience of Binary Protocols
• Previous experience of the Atlassian suite of products
• TCP/UDP knowledge
• General Networking/Infrastructure Troubleshooting and Diagnostics – DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls
• Good understanding/operational experience of ITIL methodology with any certifications beneficial.
• Ability work well under pressure in a vibrant and busy environment.

Non-Essential But Highly Desirable:

• Previous experience supporting Futures & Options Trading, Risk and Settlement Systems.
• Any knowledge of Financial markets – Equities, Derivatives, Futures & Options, Fixed Income, Crypto/Bitcoin.
• Knowledge of E-Trading/ISV’s products – Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading, Fidessa, ION/Patsystems, Trayport.
• Exchange Connectivity – ICE/LIFFE, Eurex, CME/CBOT, Euronext, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE.
• Other Market Data – Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Ateo (Teo and Lisa).
• Experience in Exchange and Vendor Management with a view to project managing exchange/system critical upgrades

Any languages, especially a Spanish Speaker would be highly desirable but not essential.
