IDAM Engineer – SC Cleared Full Time

Duration – 6 months

Rate – 650 – 700 daily (inside IR35)

My government client is looking for IDAM Engineer, someone with the following experience / skillsets:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Microsoft Entra ID Integration:
   • Lead the integration efforts to establish Microsoft Entra ID as the central identity platform for staff authentication.
   • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth integration with various organizational services.
2. Identity Federation Protocols:
   • Demonstrate expertise in identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
   • Implement secure and seamless single sign-on (SSO) solutions across diverse applications and platforms.
3. Provisioning Protocols:
   • Utilize knowledge of provisioning protocols, especially SCIM, to automate user provisioning and deprovisioning processes.
   • Develop efficient workflows to manage user identities across different systems and services.
4. Modernization and Efficiency:
   • Drive the modernization of identity and access systems, emphasizing efficiency, security, and user experience.
   • Implement automation and DevOps practices to optimize identity management processes.
5. Multi-disciplinary Collaboration:
   • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing technical expertise and collaborating on integration projects.
   • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
6. Security and Compliance:
   • Ensure that identity and access solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
   • Implement robust security controls and monitor for potential vulnerabilities, taking proactive measures to address them.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Identity Platform Expertise:
  • Extensive experience in working with Microsoft Entra ID, including integration and customization for large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of identity federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) and provisioning protocols (SCIM).
• Integration and Automation:
  • Proven ability to integrate identity solutions with diverse applications and automate provisioning processes.
  • Experience in implementing automation and DevOps practices for identity and access management tasks.
• Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
