PeopleCert, is looking for a Product Portfolio Director (PPM), to lead a team of Product Managers as well as Subject Matter Experts and be the advocate of this product line. In his/her product line he/she will be responsible for the end-to-end product design, developing, executing global product strategies and commercial performance, aiming to maximise customer acquisition and retention.

The Product Portfolio Director (PPM) will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the global best practice ecosystem related to his/her product line and will supervise and oversee the entire business/PPM product line.

Reporting into the VP Product, you will lead the strong team of Product Managers, with focus on a wide portfolio of globally recognised products (ex. PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, Scrum, Management of Risk (MoR), Managing Successful Program (MSP), and many more). He/ She will work with internal and external teams for the optimization and roadmap development across the full product lifecycle, positioning, pricing and distribution, to always shield our competitive advantage, and he/ she will be responsible for the full P&L.

As our Product Portfolio Director (PPM), your responsibilities will include:

• Have P&L ownership for the PeopleCert Business (PPM) portfolio.
• Evaluate different ecosystem business models and propose strategies and tactics for maximizing revenues
• Propose global channel investment schemes with a view to portfolio adoption optimization
• Monitor global market dynamics, including customer needs, new certification trends, competitors’ updates and identify new areas with opportunities for potential business growth
• Focus on collecting and understanding customer insights to drive product decisions
• Understand current portfolio status within the market and recommend new portfolio growth strategy to the management team
• Evaluate and analyse portfolio strategy implementation alternatives
• Lead a team of Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts
• Frequently communicate and participate in global Business Unit strategic exercises, and liaise with local markets to share info on technical trends, competitive landscape, challenges and opportunities
• Perform market research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis to support the identification and pursuit of portfolio strategic planning, as well as the associated business models
• Assist in all phases of the market research process, including vendor management, study design, questionnaire development, data analysis and report generation
• Be the ecosystem business, competition and market insights expert and provide relevant reports to management.

What we are looking for:

• 10+ years of Senior Managerial / Director product management experience in e-learning industry
• 3+ managerial experience particularly in the area of Project, Program and Portfolio as well as Agile Management
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or marketing, ideally MBA
• Strong business/commercial acumen

• Exceptional level of the English language. Knowledge of other languages will be an asset

• Advanced computer literacy
• Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions for challenging, undefined problems

• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, as well with third parties
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Financial background check
• Employment reference check.
• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
