Python Engineer – Perm £85k – Reinsurance Pricing

A global insurance specialist is looking to hire a Python/Pricing Developer to work within the IT team, to re-build/modernise a Non-life Reinsurance Pricing platform.

Working closely with a pricing analyst, you will be analysing existing algorithmic pricing model to determine whether they’re fit for purpose and compatible with new technologies. You will learn to understand the duplication in techniques and recommend best-in-class methods and optimal modularisation.

Salary: £70,000-£80,000 + 12.5% bonus

Location: X1-2 per week in City of London

Experience required:

• Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in Python (pandas, unit/pytest, classes, APIS)
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Requires knowledge of MS Excel (Essential), VBA, MS Access, SQL
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, communicating with range of stakeholders.
• Must be interested or have aspirations to work and grow their career within insurance or reinsurance
• Experience in Front End JavaScript frameworks such as React/Angular
• Preferred experience of Reinsurance and/or Insurance technology solutions
